Finally! HAL Sings Daisy...And Crickets!

'Hate to be the one to point this out but there is nothing called a GOP “enterprise” base. The new GOP is made up of ANTI-MIDDLE CLASS “small” business owners and poor anti minority Caucasians. '

Those middle-class hating voters really must hate themselves because they didn’t vote for Dear Leader.

'THE OLD GOP WAS PRO MIDDLE CLASS through sensible tax cuts and sensible regulations. THEY UNDERSTOOD THAT A STRIVING MIDDLE CLASS is what’s needed to grow the economy.

The New GOP/Tea Party on the other hand is PURELY ANTI WORKER/MIDDLE CLASS and heavily pro business. The new GOP will do all it can to pay their employees china wages if it were possible. Their pro business mindset is so misguided to the extent that they fail to see that their business is nothing without customers. ..MOST OF WHOM ARE THE EMPLOYEES THEY DESPISE.

- HotAirLib on April 29, 2013 at 11:07 PM

‘Cuz, like, the 2010 and 2012 elections so proved you right! The ‘New GOP/Tea Party’ hates the middle class so much that the middle class votes for it…

New York Times: How bad was it for Democrats last week? By nearly every demographic measure, the party lost ground, significantly in some cases...The result was the largest reshuffling of the House of Representatives in 50 years.

2010 elections by the numbers:

The GOP won 24 Senate seats and picked up 6 more.

The Democrats won 12 and lost 6.

The GOP won 240 Congressional seats and picked up 66 seats.

The Democrats won 186 Congressional seats and lost 66.

The GOP won 29 Gubernatorial seats and picked up 10.

The Democrats won 10 Gubernatorial seats, maintained 2, and lost 7.

The GOP held their own and picked up 10 seats.

The Democrats lost over 680 legislative seats.

Republicans took 680 seats in state legislatures away from Democrats, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures — an all time high.

To put that number in perspective: In the 1994 GOP wave, Republicans picked up 472 seats. The previous record was in the post-Watergate election of 1974, when Democrats picked up 628 seats.

The GOP gained majorities in 14 state house chambers. They won unified control — meaning both chambers — of 26 state legislatures.

2010 was the largest seat change since 1948 and the largest for any midterm election since the 1938 midterm elections.  At the state level, no party had suffered a greater defeat than the Democrats did in 2010 since the 1928 elections.

Less than $50,000:

Democrats: 60%
Republicans: 38%

$50,000-$100,000:

Democrats: 48%
Republicans: 50%

Greater than $100,000:

Democrats: 47%
Republicans: 52%

'INTERESTING YOU CAN ONLY REFERENCE MID TERM ELECTIONS where most Americans don’t vote to buttress your point.  ONCE AGAIN CONTINUE BELIEVING WHAT YOU WANT.  My party is t the one losing the popular vote in most presidential elections.'

- HotAirLib on April 29, 2013 at 11:34 PM

Wow, so the information that I posted on the 2008 and 2012 was on mid-term elections?

Talk about continuing to believe what you want to believe.

Look up the fucking thread, you moron. I addressed the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections BEFORE I posted ANYTHING on the mid-term elections in 2010.

Damn, you’re stupid.

'I DON’T NEED TO WASTE MY TIME READING YOUR GOP PREPARED REMARKS YOU F*CKING HACK. Fact is American DEMOGRAPHIC IS SHIFTING AGAINST YOUR GOP. If you fail to see that, then you are more idiotic than I thought you were.'

HAL, let's do this again real soon.  I've so enjoyed it and look forward to, once again, beating your ass until you are singing about a girl named Daisy...or a boy named Sue, for that matter.

Bonus:  Math is hard.  It's even harder when you're stupid.  It's downright impossible when you are an ignorant Progressive like HotLips...

@HotLips  'I’m a reformadox Jewish woman born and raised conservative, living in TX, in a city that has at least 2 mosques…and about 5 other Jews. I AM a ‘minority’.

- annoyinglittletwerp on April 29, 2013 at 10:47 PM

@annoyinglittletwerp  'Interesting. You think you are a minority simply because you are Jewish? How about the Italians and Irishmen? Are they minorities too?'

- HotAirLib on April 29, 2013 at 10:57 PM

@annoyinglittletwerp   'Come back and claim minority status when folks discriminate against you simply by the color of your skin. Until then, I strongly doubt you are a minority.'

- HotAirLib on April 29, 2013 at 11:16 PM

6 million Jews are unavailable for comment.

@Resist We Much   'Interesting. So because a monster killed 6 million Jews, their offsprings are now minorities? This is like saying African Americans are minorities simply because their ancestors were brought here as slaves.'

- HotAirLib on April 29, 2013 at 11:29 PM

You said for her to come back when she had been discriminated against…you know, when she didn’t have white skin, as if that’s the only reason you can be discriminated against.

Jews were discriminated against in Germany.  They've been discriminated all over the world, including the United States.  They've also been killed in the United States just because of their religion.  Leo Frank, anyone?  Bueller?  Bueller?

As for minority status, there are 6 million Jews in the United States – a country of 310 million. That’s 1.93%.

In 2011, African-Americans made up 13.6% of the population.

So, you tell me, what is the larger number? 1.93% or 13.6%?

Oh, and PLEASE don’t tell me that anti-Semitism isn’t a problem in the US, especially amongst Hispanics and African-Americans. You truly don’t want to go down that road with me.
